e-Commerce v Funnels: Which is better?

I’m confused between the e-commerce model and the typical online sales funnel model. I run a training company that sells online courses, but I also want to make it clear that I have a large library of products to choose from. A sales funnel would limit my audience’s choices by forcing them to evaluate a course that might not be the best fit for them (given our other offerings). What model should I choose? What are the pros and cons?

How big should my first-time info product be?

If a first-time online course contains 15+ hours of training content, does that impact its chances at launching successfully? It’s high-quality material that I’ve taught in person, but I don’t know how that translates to a more scalable model like e-learning. Forums are saying that a typical online course contains around 5-7 hours of content. Am I shooting myself in the foot?

First off, thank you for asking this question. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve mentioned that term on calls with clients (or even fellow marketers) and seen eyes glaze over.
